Loving son and father, Jeffrey "Jeff" Carl Shook, 51, resident of Dallas, Texas left this Earth on December 16, 2013. He was born February 11, 1962 to Jacqueline Fancher-Thompson and Melvin Shook in Longview, Texas. A lover of nature and animals, Jeff enjoyed exploring and viewing the world in a way unlike any other. He saw beauty and relevance in things and people most do not. Always willing to help others, he found fulfillment in his ability to give unconditionally and without prejudice. Jeff is survived by his three children, Ashley Shook, Cassie Shook and Connor Bliss, his mother Jackie Fancher-Thompson and step-father Vernon Thompson, his father Mel Shook, sister Crystal Fancher, his three nieces Bailey O'Shea, Skylar Fancher and Caeley Fancher, his aunt Patricia Garrett, cousins Bobby Garrett, Sharon Garrett and Terry Garrett. He is preceded in death by his sister Deborah O'Shea, nephew Kenneth Cottrell, and his uncle Bob Garrett. Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10 am at North Dallas Funeral Home.
