Richard Dale Smith, 71, of Burkburnett, Texas passed away February 27,2011.In 1958 Richard began a 40 year career in the sign business. This career brought him and his family to Dallas, Texas. In his retirement, Richard loved to watch the grandchildren at play and spend time with the family pets.He is survived by lifelong friend Phyllis Hunter Smith and their three children: Russell Dale, Mark Stephen, and Melinda Lee Toulmin, 5 grandchildren: Misti Bush, Ian Toulmin, Phyllis Toulmin, Kara McKinney, and Emilly Smith, and 4 great grandchildren; sister Erma Heaton of Corpus Christi, Texas and brother Danny Smith of Victoria, Texas.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011, 4pm in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
