Valerie Jean Stallworth Sams passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at her home in Alvarado, Texas at the age of 58 years old. She was born on July 9, 1953 in Bertram, Burnet County, Texas. She worked as a nurse for many years until health problems forced her into early retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy Stallworth and younger brother, Robert Stallworth. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Raymond Sams; children, Auna Sawicki and spouse, Robert, Billy Leger, Leanne Latham and Adam Corley; grandchildren, Jonathon Sawicki, Hannah Sawicki, Chloe Sawicki, Romie Leger, Jniper Leger and Phoenix Leger; sister, Kathy McHenry an spouse, Bill; nieces, Tiffany Boatright and Misty Reddick; nephew, Morgan McHenry; and great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 Southwest Wilshire Boulevard, Burleson.
