Janis passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 in her Dallas apartment at the age of 57. She was born on September 16, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Connie and Don Newbury. Growing up in the Dallas area she graduated from W.T. White High School in 1968. Janis married Harold Stanley in 1970 and they had one daughter, Tabatha. Janis loved animals and had an amazing bond with Angel her dog. She had a passion for music and singing. She will be truly missed by all who loved her. Janis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Tabatha and Kurt Mueller of Royse City, Texas, and grandsons Kieffer, Robert, and Scott, father and step-mother Donald and Sally Newbury of Dallas, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Don and Beverly Newbury of Richardson, Texas, and long time friend Victoria Suzie Hodge of Seattle, Washington. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 3:00p.m. at North Dallas Funeral Home in Farmers Branch, Texas.
