She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family in Farmers Branch, TX on July 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by husband, Don W. Stearman (October 2011); parents Timothy and Grace Heraty; and brother-in-law Chuck Swenson. Jane is survived by brother Timothy Heraty and wife Sue, sisters Betty Swenson, and Marilyn Newkirk and husband Henry; children Lynn Bass, and son-in-law Mark, Ronnie Stearman and wife Vicki, Susie Parker and husband Gary, Mike Stearman and wife Tessa, and Laurie Dempsay and husband Brian; grandchildren Ryan Bass and wife Christy, Jill Magers and husband Steven, Nathan Carter and wife Courtney , Julie Pierotti and husband Tony, Blake Stearman, Jordan Johnston and husband Colin, Erin Bass, Shelby Stearman, Leslie Parker, Rheagan Stearman; and 11 great-grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as Memaw.
