Donald Webb Stearman, Born January 13, 1926 in Dallas, TX, hero in war, hero in peace and devoted patriarch of his family; passed away peacefully at home into the arms of his passed away on October 9, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents Waverly Stearman of Wichita, KS, inventor, developer of the Swallow aircraft and family member of the Stearman Aircraft Corporation, Lois G. Patton of Midland, TX, stepfather RG Patton of Dallas, TX and brother Jack Stearman of Austin, TX. Don is survived by his brothers Joe Patton, Tony Stearman and Mike Stearman. Don is survived by the love of his life of 61 years Janie Claire, sons Ron Stearman and wife Vicki, Mike Stearman and wife Tessa; daughters Lynn Bass, Susan Parker and husband Gary and Laurie Dempsay and husband Brian. His cherished grandchildren are Ryan Bass and wife Christy, Jill Magers and husband Steven, Julie Pierotti and husband Tony, Blake Stearman, Nathan Stearman and wife Courtney, Jordan Johnston and husband Collin, Erin Bass, Shelby Stearman, Leslie Parker and Reagan Stearman who affectionately refer to him as PawPaw.
