Victor Preston Medellin Sterling was born on March 20, 1997 and died on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 22.Victor was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Uplift North Hills Preparatory in Irving where he was a National Merit Commended Scholar and AP Scholar with Distinction. He was currently a senior at University of Texas at Dallas majoring in mathematics with a minor in computer science. Aside from math and computer science, his interests included making art, listening to obscure music and studying Japanese. He was deeply committed to education and enjoyed tutoring others in general academic subjects as well as for the SAT while still in high school. Victor was funny, mischievous, deeply introspective and always worked so hard at making himself a better person. We will always remember his beautiful smile, deep brown eyes and caring personality. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed.When you think of Victor, celebrate the great memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest!Victor is preceded in death by his great grandparents Ray and Minnie Sterling, his grandfather Antonio Medellin Sr. and his uncle David Medellin.Victor is cherished by his parents, Shawn and Annie Sterling and loving brother, Jackson. He also leaves his maternal grandmother Susie Medellin of Alvarado and paternal grandparents, James and Judy Sterling of Anna.Victor is lovingly remembered by his uncle and aunts Margie Davidson and husband Michael of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Tony Medellin Jr. of Kilgore; Nora Medellin of Irving; Liesl Triplett and husband John of Anna; Colette Tjernagel and husband Mark of Orlando, Florida, and cousins Anthony Damron, Travis Tjernagel, Tori Tjernagel Martin, Jenner Tjernagel, Casey Tjernagel, Kieran Triplett, Sierra Triplett, Morgan Triplett, Blaire Triplett, Monica Welch.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
