Susan Lee Pittson, 82, passed away in her home in Hazel Green, Alabama on December 20, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Susan was born February 28, 1942, in Seattle, Washington. Her parents were Lily Eide and Charlie Harper. She graduated in 1961 from Ballard High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Eugene Pittson. They married on September 9, 1961. Her husband served in the U.S. Army, which gave them the opportunity to travel and live all over the world, which she felt was one of her greatest blessings.

The things people remember most about Susan was her love and devotion to her family, love for Jesus, kindness to others, creativity, and legendary organizational skills.

Susan is survived by her four children-Eugene Pittson, Jr. and his wife, Malinda of Dallas, TX; Jackie Murdock and her husband, Michael of Gurley, AL; Heidi Pittson of Hazel Green, AL; Christopher Pittson and his wife, Leesa of Brownsboro, AL-and four grandchildren, Kohl, Ethan, Skyler, and Brooke. In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Pittson, Sr., after celebrating 53 years of marriage before Gene went home to be with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Monday, January 13 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
