Obituary

Peter (Pete) Tarr, 67, of Farmers Branch passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at a local hospital. Mr. Tarr was born in Szekesfehervar, Hungary. In 1956 Pete, his father and brother escaped Hungary on foot during the Hungarian Revolution. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from El Centro College.He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Tarr, and a sister, Beata France. Pete is survived by his mother, Irene Tarr ofLittle Rock, Arkansas; one brother, Gabe Tarr (Emily) of New Boston, Texas; nephews, Dr. Russell Tarr (Charity) and Stephen Tarr(Laurie); andone grand nephew.Pete enjoyed target shooting, scuba diving, playing chess and riding his motorcycle. He was a dog lover.Pete was employed at the City of Dallas Security Division. The family would like to thank all of the City Hall Family for their visits and support during Petes illness.Mr. Tarr served proudly in the U. S. Army and was a Viet Nam veteran.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Dr., Carrollton 75006, or a charity of your choice.The family will be receiving friends and extended family for a visitation and viewing on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.The family will also be receiving friends and extended familyfor a visitation and viewing on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Immediately following the visitation at 11:00 amwill be the funeral at the funeral home.Graveside services, withmilitary honors,will follow at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
