Betty Lou (Taylor) Tarver of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the age of 79.She was born on April 3, 1938 in Honey Grove, Texas to Florence Mildred Walker and William Thomas Taylor. Betty married A. G. Tarver on March 3, 2000 in Carrollton, Texas.Betty graduated from high school and took some college classes. She worked as the church secretary at Valwood Park Baptist Church and an administrative assistance at Gabberts Furniture. She enjoyed her grandchildren and loved traveling.Sheis survived by her husband, A.G. Tarver of Carrollton, Texas; children, Patty Campbell and her husband, Chris Campbell of Copper Canyon, Texas and Kathy Crowhurst of Battlement Mesa, Colorado; grandchildren, Christopher Campbell of Austin, Texas, Allison Speer and husband, Andy of Tyler, Texas, David Crowhurst of Battlement Mesa, Colorado, Ben Crowhurst of Battlement Mesa, Colorado; and her sister, Anita Ferguson; nephews, Richard Jones and his wife, Wanda of Plano, Texas; niece, Tonya Gates and her husband, Tim of Paris, Texas; nephew, Lance Whitener of Paris, Texas; friends, Nelda Wolf of McKinney, Texas, and Ramona Short of Battlement Mesa, Colorado. She is predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Bill Taylor of Paris, Texas and Katy Jones and her husband, George of Garland, Texas.Bettys favorite verse was John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Valwood Park Baptist Church, 2727 Valwood Pkwy, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the same location following the visitation. Officiating is Jerry Hays, Pastor of Valwood Park Baptist Church.There will be a procession following the service to Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006 where Betty will be laid to rest.A Special Thank you to Jerry Hays and Valwood Park Baptist Church.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
