Thomas (Tom) David Grissom was born on 12-22-51 in Blytheville, Arkansas, and died on 03-08-2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded by his parents, Mona Sue and Thomas Walter Grissom, along with various aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sister Tina Hays, Brother Terry Grissom, niece Rhianon Grissom, nephews Cameron Hays, Corey Hays, and James Grissom, Aunts Nora Kovash, Louise Grissom, and Glenda Jo Kraft, and cousins Randy Little, Barbra Kay Little, David Grissom, Mitchell Grissom, Tony Grissom, Stephanie Kovash, and Valerie Walker, not to mention countless friends, some who were as close as family like Herman Mansel.

Tom graduated from Duncanville High School in 1970, received a BA from San Houston State University in 1974, and an MA from Amberton University in 1989. He has had a storied career in human resources and recruitment at the top levels of national and international corporations.

None of these extraordinary accomplishments tell you how kind, loving, brave, and humble Tom was throughout his life. Tom lived by the virtues of Micah 6:8, which says, "The Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." And embraced the promise that Jesus came to "set at liberty those who are oppressed [and] to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Tom's soul was woven with compassion and grace, leaving love imprints on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever reside in our hearts and with his Creator.
