James Michael Thomas of Garland, Texas passed away on March 12, 2013 at the age of 62. Jim was born October 3, 1950 in Binghamton, New York and grew up in El Paso, Texas and in Okinawa. He is the son of Mary Belle Thomas of El Paso, Texas and the late Robert F. Thomas.He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Leslie Michelle Murphy. Jim leaves behind his wife of 31.5 years, Pamela Cook Thomas; his brother, John and wife, Cathy Thomas of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Susan and husband, Clyde Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Steve and wife, Pamela Thomas of Bolivar, Tennessee; sister, Sandy Doss of El Paso, Texas; Elsie Ryan, Sue Hale, John Hale, Dawn Harrison all of California and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family members in New York. He loved his dogs, Bailey Jo, Peaches Marie, and Doodles McCoy and Bernice. He was an avid bowler for nearly 20 years in Garland. He graduated from Irvine High School in El Paso, TX and was a graduate of El Paso Community College.Memorial service arrangements are pending.
