James Larry Tilson, 79, of Kaufman, Texas passed away on May 21, 2012.A Memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.Larry was born in Dallas on June 1, 1932. He graduated from Garland High School in 1948 and went to work for Mobil Oil Corporation upon graduation and retired as a Purchasing Clerk in 1988.Larry married Bobbie Jean Clark on November 22, 1950; they were married 61 years.Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, poker and participated in numerous domino tournaments.Larry is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Tilson; three sons, Dale Tilson of Austin, Darryl Tilson and wife, Gail, of Kaufman, and Doug Tilson also of Kaufman. He also leaves four grandchildren, Cory Tilson and wife, Haley, of Canton, Texas, Jennifer Tilson Webb and husband, Jeff, of Heartland Texas, ShaLisa Tilson of Kaufman, Texas, and Daniel Tilson and wife, Sunni, of Kaufman Texas; five great-grandchildren, Cobe Webb, Shyanne Tilson, Addyson Webb, Corley Tilson and Dakota Tilson; and other family and friends.Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Tilson and Carrie Clark Tilson.The family of Larry Tilson wishes to thank Sunflower Park Health Care and Hospice Plus for their excellent care of our loved one.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
