Keith Jackson Van Kirk, aged 64, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, October 22 2018, at the family home in Farmers Branch, Texas.Keith was born on July 24 1954. He graduated W.T. White High School in Dallas and was extremely active in Boy Scouts of America, in Troop 844. He was a proud patriot and a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. Afterwards he worked in construction until he retired. Keith discovered a natural aptitude for driving at a very young age. He was a lover of music and an accomplished guitarist. While in the service he helped to form a band to entertain the troops. Later in life, despite health issues which were a daily challenge, he never lost his sense of humor.Keith's mother, Wanda Van Kirk, is deceased, but he is survived by his father Russel Van Kirk, stepmother Mari Lynn Van Kirk, sisters, Kimberly Van Kirk and Shannon Barnes, and brother-in-law Richard Barnes.Family, friends, and others whose life Keith touched are invited on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon for visitation and viewing in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Celebrate of Keith Life service will begin at 12:00 Noon.
