Richard William Van Jahnke, age 81, passed away on April 15th, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas.He was born in Brooklyn, NY September 11, 1938 and grew up in Minneola, Long Island. He graduated from Columbia University with a Major in Geography. He married the love of his life and had two sons. He ran the Columbia University Bookstore, engaged in entrepreneurial startup ventures and completed his working days in automotive sales. He enjoyed classic movies from the 40s and 50s and especially liked romantic comedies from the modern era.Richard is survived by one stepmother, one brother, two sons, one daughter-in-law and one grandson.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
