Born 08/30/1927 in Kansas City, MO and died 10/12/2008. Preceded in death by parents Andrew & Josphine Ross & husband Ferdinand "Red" Walters. Survived by son Andrew & wife Jimmie, son Charles & wife Alexandra, daughter Mary & husband Mark Stoltz, grandson & wife Brian Stoltz & Anne Hagan, grandaughter & husband Angie & Tim O'Connor, grandaughters Sara Stoltz & Candace Walters. JoAnn & Red moved to Dallas in 1956 to start work with Braniff, built a home close to St. Monica Catholic Church & became lifelong parishoners. As her children grew up, JoAnn was very involved in St. Monica School & church including stints as room mother, Great Books coordinator & an officer in the PTA. She continued to be an active member of her parish through Stephen's Ministry & bible studies. JoAnn loved to travel & was fortunate to visit many places in the world. She will be missed & remembered. Rosary on Tuesday, 7pm St. Monica Chapel, Funeral Mass Wed. Oct. 15 10am at St. Monica Catholic Church, burial to follow at Calvary Hill. Donations may be made to St. Monica School in her honor.
