Obituary

Warren Alan Sims began his lifes journey on February 22, 1959, to the late Colonel Emmett Welton Sims, Jr., and Johnnye Muriel Sims. He was one of five children. As part of his military family, he traveled to many countries during his youth. His favorite childhood memories of his travels were when his family lived in Thailand.Warren lived a full life and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. He was an avid reader, art collector and lego enthusiast.Warrens education path included West Point US Military Academy, and Louisiana Tech University where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He worked many years in the defense industry as an engineering manager and served as a mentor to many.Warren was joined in holy matrimony on July 6, 2002 to a loving and supportive wife, Ervette Sims. They were blessed with a daughter, Dynasti Sims, on December 29, 2011.Warren departed this life on January 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Colonel Emmett Welton Sims, Jr., and his mother Johnnye Muriel Sims.Warren leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 19 years, Ervette Sims and beloved daughter, Dynasti Sims of Frisco, TX; brothers Emmett W. Sims of Springfield VA and John D. Sims of Greenwood IN; sisters Sheryl E. Sims of Alexandria, VA and Patrice E. Roberts of Fredericksburg, VA; mother-in-law Patricia Moore of Florissant, MO; brother-in laws Ervin (Pam) Moore of Little Elm, TX and Eric (Vanessa) Moore of Fishers, IN; sister-in-law Anita Lofton; nieces Amber Wihshi of Alexandria, VA, Jasmine Hughey of Fredericksburg, VA and Erica Moore of Fishers, IN; nephews Alexander, Michael and Chris Sims (lovingly referred to as the Mooses) of Las Vegas, NV, Kyle Roberts of Los Angeles, CA, Eric, Brandon and Bryce Moore of Fishers, IN and Ervin Moore, III of Little Elm, TX; a host of cousins, Goddaughters, childhood friends Adrienne Clemons and Laviris Stubblefield, longtime friend David Westbrooks and many, many friends.
