Gordon Ray Wartenbach, born March 30, 1934 to Seleta and Wallace Wartenbach in Mason, Texas. He attended Mason public schools and was active in choral groups and musical events throughout his school years. Gordon served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957, serving two tours in Alaska and Japan. He served our country well, with faith, honor, dignity, and distinction. After moving to Houston in 1957, he attended the University of Houston. He was employed in the transport business until 1984 when he moved to Dallas to begin a new career in real estate.Gordon is survived by two loving sons, Eric of Harlingen, Texas and Kurt and his wife Shelly of Kingwood, Texas, two granddaughters, Caroline and Savannah, as well as several cousins with whom he was very close. The family is especially grateful for the love and support of Ann Codianne and his other friends and neighbors who have helped him immensely during the last several years as he battled COPD. As a veteran, Gordon's wishes were to have his cremains interred at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Services will be held Friday, June 14th, 2013 9:15am, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane "B". Please sign this guest book and tell the family what Gordon did to enlighten your life.
