Baylor LaMonde White, the son of William Franklin and Susan Matthew (Coleman) White, was born on January 30, 1925 in Athens , Texas . He graduated summa cum laude from Terrell High School , Terrell , Texas in 1942. Baylor received his degree from the University of Texas at Austin . For a short time Baylor taught math and music to junior high school students. He then began working for Sargent-Welch Company, a supplier of science education equipment and apparatus. He was a faithful employee until his retirement. Baylor loved music and was an accomplished pianist, trombone player and had a wonderful singing voice. He played trombone in a band called The Southern Gentlemen. He sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church for many years. He enjoyed keeping up with all of the Texas sports teams with the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers being the favorites. He also was a very good chess player. Baylor L. White died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Belmont at Twin Creeks in Allen, Texas, at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 6 sisters; a daughter, Amanda Sue; and his wife, Bonnie (Brown) White. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Gerald) Kohles of Earling, Iowa ; two grandchildren, Gabriella Kesterson and Nicholas Kohles; and other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life will be Sunday, December 4, 2011, 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas with Rev. Andy Stoker officiating.
