Bob passed away on Jan. 17, 2014. Born Nov. 30, 1923 to Frederick and Doris Saxe Wible in Brownsville, PA.Bob served in WWII as Staff Sgt. in the 95th infantry division. Was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, EAMETO, Good Conduct and The WWII Victory Medal. Was presented the medal for heroic achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy from Dec. 25, 1944, in the vicinity of Wallerfangen, Germany. He assisted in establishing a forward observation post on the west bank of the Saar River to direct fire mission into the town and the town was subjected to artillery and mortar fire. In spite of danger from the enemy mortar fire, he remained at his post and fired artillery missions harassing the enemy troops and their system of supply. His heroic devotion to duty exemplifies the highest tradition military service and reflects great credit on himself and the military service of the United States.He retired from the City of Dallas Health Dept., member of American Legion Post #0504, Grand Lodge of Texas, Tannehill No. 52 and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32o.Preceded in death by his parents, son Ricky, Brothers Francis, Fred, William and Howard Wible.Survived by wife Aurora Wible, sisters Patricia and husband Paul Baranek, Virginia Wible and Jean Varndell, all of PA. Survived by sons Chuck (Lillian), David (Sandra). Daughters Debbie (Mike), Rori (Chris). Grandchildren Cari, David Neil (Mandy) Wible, JohnDavid (Monica), Michael (Jackie), Brian and Tom. Great-grandchildren Jackson Robert Wible, Chloe, Ava, Michael and Jasmine. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins (Wible, Spellman) and friends in PA.Visitation will be Tuesday, January21, 2014, 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January22, 2014 at9:00 amat the funeral home.Interment will be at11:00 amat DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of your choice.
