In Loving Memory of Willard "Will" Leon Strong III
April 19th, 1990 – May 12th, 2024
It is with great sadness that we must say see you later to Willard "Will" Leon Strong III, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew him. Will's passing on May 12th, 2024, leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be a beacon of light in our lives. There are not enough words in the world to express the sorrow that we all must share.
Will leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Bulk, and his stepmother, Kathy Strong. His grandparents, Carol & Jim Wallace, Gene Wiley, and April LaLor. His siblings, Theresa & Richard Johnston, Amanda Strong, Brian & Kashmir McCarthy, Danny McCarthy & Justin Eldridge. In addition to his siblings, Will is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Nolen Johnston, Lexi Strong, Andrew Turner, Logan Johnston, Mackenzie Johnston, Seamus McCarthy, and Ambrose McCarthy.
Will is preceded in death by his father, Willard "Big Will" Leon Strong Jr, who we know embraced him tightly as he continues to his next journey. He is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Eric Bulk, by his brother, Daniel Strong and by his grandparents Willard Leon Strong Sr and Jeannene Wiley.
Will's journey through life was marked by love, compassion, and an adventurous spirit that knew no bounds. His infectious laughter and genuine kindness endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His heart was truly pure gold and he loved with every ounce of his heart, always. If you knew him, you know he knew no stranger. His time with his family and friends was what he craved the most. His nieces and nephews were his world. There wasn't a single time Uncle Will didn't have a treat, money, or a gift when he visited them. He was the uncle every kid wanted. The one who was never too old to play games, tag, instigate nerf battles or even paint his nieces' nails when they asked. In most cases, he caused more chaos than the kids did when they were together. And of course he loved every moment of it. Whether embarking on new adventures or simply sharing quiet moments with loved ones, Will approached life with an open heart and a radiant smile that lit up the darkest of days.
To say that Will will be extremely missed is an understatement, the void that he has left may never be filled but the comfort we all share is knowing that he is with his Father, Big Will, as a part of Will left when his father passed away.
Will, you will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever shine within us all!
We ask that you all come and join our family in remembering Will on June 1st, 2024, as we will host a Celebration of Life. We would like everyone to come dressed casually and we want everyone to mingle and enjoy some BBQ. Following we will have a small service with a lantern release.
In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Heart to Heart Hospice in remembrance of Will. In our time of need, they helped us the most and we are eternally grateful.
