Obituary

Linda Ellen Blackmer Williams-Holtzclaw entered into this world June 3, 1945, in Baraboo, Wisconsin, and departed to LIFE in heaven on February 27, 2013.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen and Kenneth Blackmer of Mountain Home, Arkansas; her brother, Gary Blackmer; and her husbands, Gary Williams and Lyndon L. Holtzclaw. Linda leaves to cherish her memories her children, Tami Watson and husband, Barry, and Timothy Williams; and her grandchildren, Jason Watson, Brandon Watson and Harmony Watson.Linda had many great accomplishments in her life time. She was a secretary in her early years and became the first woman to join the Local Painters Union in Texas. She also led the Federal study on how paint fumes and other toxins used by the industry effected the individuals using them. This research led the government to putting warning labels on paint cans. After she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior she attended and completed Bible College at Calvary Cathedral and continued working for the bible college for many years. She volunteered with STITCHES (an outreach ministry that goes to the neighborhoods performing puppet shows and bringing people to the saving grace of Jesus). She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved helping the elderly. Linda retired from a career she loved working at Daystar Television as a prayer department supervisor after 15 years. Though she is gone she will not be forgotten. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
