Frederick "Fred" Wilson our beloved father and grandfather passed away on June 13, 2016 from Leukemia. He was born in Vincennes, Indiana on May 8, 1936. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955 where he served in numerous countries and capacities, earned the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service and retired in 1976 as a Technical Sergeant. He later went on to retire as a master electrician for another private company in Denver, CO and retired again in 1993. He was an active charter member of American Legion Post 178, and an avid fan of his grandson's sporting events. He is preceded in death by wife, Twalla Gayle Wilson; son, John Robert Wilson; parents James Kenneth Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Farr; brother, Donald Wayne Wilson; and sisters, Mary Eileen Wilson and Irene May Wilson. Frederick leaves behind his brother, James Elvin Wilson; sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson; brother-in-law and best friend, Bill Stark; sons, Frederick Kenneth Wilson and Edward Alan Wilson; daughter-in-law, Karen Lynne Wilson; and grandsons, Bradley Taylor Wilson, Bryce Morgan Wilson, and Jonathan Alan Wilson in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:30 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Interment,with full military honors, will be at 1:00 pm at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
