Philip Ray Woodruff was born on January 14, 1942 in Dallas, Texas, and passed away November 9, 2019 in Richardson, Texas at the age of 77. He was raised in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyndol Hoyt and O'Neta Freeman Woodruff. He graduated from Samuel High School and attended University of North Texas.He was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved Texas Longhorns. He enjoyed playing golf and talking about old times spent playing fast pitch softball.He was a member of The Heights Baptist Church for over 40 years, and a member of Agape Sunday School ClassHe is survived by his loving wife, of 58 years, Sue Woodruff; daughter, Annette Kennard and husband, Chris; daughters, Donna Woodruff, Stacie Polk and husband, Trent; his 4 cherished grandchildren, Blayne Ray Kennard, Shelby Leigh Kennard, Conner Reece Polk, and Ashtyn Lin Polk; brother, Keith Woodruff and wife, Cindy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1:30 in the afternoon at The Heights Baptist Church, 201 W Renner Road, Richardson, Texas 75080.In lieu of flowers, if you would like, make a donation to The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
