What man is a man who does not make the world better?
Paul Warren Yokum died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 8:45pm in the home of his daughter surrounded by his loving family.Paul was born in Dallas, Texas, October 30, 1951, to parents James and Virginia (Culpepper) Yokum. He was the second born of five children. He had four daughters, and eight grandchildren.Known by everyone as Papi, he never met a stranger. His generosity and fun-loving spirit were his best qualities. His life was full of laughter, love, and service to others.He spent much of his time in Red Oak with his best friends gardening, playing music, cooking, watching football, and having parties. He lovedlife and made it fun for all those around him. Papi truly was a kid at heart and always knew how to make you smile, no matter what the circumstance.Nearly 2 years ago, he was so sick, the doctors said he had just 3 more months to live. His daughters refused the diagnosis and nursed him back to health through a change of diet, essential oils and other natural remedies. Their treatments gave him over a year and a half longer to live - with a good quality of life during that time.Papi believed to live everyday like it was your last.
