John D. Yonek of Denton, TX, died peacefully at home in Denton, TX, on July 24, 2013. Born on April 25, 1950 in McKeesport, PA, he was the son of the late Evelyn May (Holland) Yonek and John D. Yonek, Sr. (estranged) of Clairton, PA.Mr. Yonek was retired after 29 years of service with American Airlines and was formerly employed with United States Steel Corporation. He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the 173rd Airborne division of U.S. Army from 1969-1972.Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Denise Yonek; two sons, Anthony W. Yonek and wife Tammy (Nikki) of Fort Worth, TX, and John F. Yonek of Denton, TX; two granddaughters, J'aime and Jordan Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX; three sisters, Theresa Specci and Linda Yonek, both of Carnegie, PA, and Deborah Yonek of Buford, GA.Two private memorial services will be held, one in Denton, TX, and one in Buford, GA, at a later date.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
