Harry Zimmerman passed away on Sept 02, 2014 at the age of 87 after his valiant battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents Sam and Rose, sisters Esther and Annie, his brother Abe and his sister in law Ellen.
He is survived by his sister Doris (Hal) Waterman, his first wife of many years Carol Spigel Zimmerman, son Joseph (Marsha) Zimmerman, daughter Shirley (Tom) Bailey, grandsons William Bailey, Nathan Zimmerman, and Zachary Bailey, and his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his second wife Marion Humphreys Zimmerman and her children and grandchildren. He also is survived by his many, many friends.
Harry was born in Dallas. He served overseas during WWII with the 86th Fighter Group of the US Air Force. He made a career working for the Borden Company for more than 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman who loved camping, hiking, bird watching, and the beauty of nature. One of his special joys was spending time walking and playing with his dog Bogie. Harry was also a longtime member of Shriners and a longtime member of Congregation Tiferet Israel.
Graveside service to be held at 10:00 am on Friday, Sept. 05, 2014 at Agudas Achim Cemetery on Scyene Rd and Buckner Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Shriners or a charity of their choice.

Harry was such a joy to be around. I met him walking his bff(dog) at Town village.... He'll be missed... He was Hilarious
