'Say not in grief 'she is no more' but live in thankfulness that she was'

Hebrew proverb

You can shed tears that she is gone

or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all she's left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her

or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone

or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

or you can do what she'd want:

smile ,open your eyes, love and go on.

Please send the family condolences on this site.

Your laughter at the little things in life taught me that through the years, as we get older the things that consume our time and what we worry about today wont always hold high importance in our life. From you I learned that being around family and those that love us are the best blessings God can give us.

We saw you transition from vibrant happy moments like at the casino filled with laughter and life to the decline of your appetite then all to fast approached the final moments of your life.

Through your death Im reminded; embrace the day and love those you love don’t pass up opportunities to be with loved ones, as each day is precious and we can be up living and laughing one minute and silenced the next.

Your life taught me how precious a grandmothers love is. Your hugs that accompanied the words “I Love You”
brought joy to my life and opened my eyes to just what it is to have a Wella.

We are sad your gone from our life but as the children have reminded us Heaven is a Happy Place and we all are happy your out of pain and all that remains is love.

    Love you too Wella!

    Sweet Saddness
    Mom:
How very sad yet so sweet it is to remember and relive these memories,
Remembering your voice, your loving eyes and beautiful smiles.
The many times we sang aloud and danced about like chifladas,
And . . . During that last year of your life.
The shopping escapades and the Novelas we so diligently watched,
the snacks that we would love to munch on together.
I sure do miss the sound of your walker scurring about the rooms,
As you move yourself slowly and carefully throughout our house.
I miss our talks, your story telling, your dreams, and your nightly noises,
And at times, I think I still hear your sounds in the stillness of the night.
Mom, I miss your presence, oh so very much,
As you gracefully left this world you left behind a sorrowful heart,
Yet I am grateful the suffering has ended and you are now at peace.
As I say goodbye to you today by laying down your ashes on this earthy ground,
I leave your remains but I take with me your spirit.
I know you are now in the presence of God, and are with your loved ones,
I am happy for you because I too love you very much.
My sad sweet memories of you will live forever in my heart.
    I love you Mom.

I was so saddened to hear about our loss. I can still hear her voice when she said to me 30 years ago when first seeing my daughter….”my what long eye-latches she has”. My father, Alfonso Jr. will now be with his mother and I bless you all.
