He was born to Donald and Louise Laing on September 9th, 1954 in Coos Bay, Oregon. Michael was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. God and Family were the most important things in his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Laing; his son Jason Laing, and his first wife Dorla Weaver Laing. I roomed with Mike back in the mid 70’s while in college in Phoenix. After leaving college I later saw him in a Burger King in Phoenix. Lost touch with him after that but I did search for him over the years but never found him until now. Very sorry to hear about his passing. Back in the days in college he was a good friend. Wish I could have connected with him.

Mike and I worked together at Ericsson for 20 years, and I liked him very much. I can honestly say that Mike was one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.

  3. Jim & Sharon Dowdy says:

Mike was a sincere and loyal friend that was willing to spend long hours trying to repair an old computer that was more scrap iron than modern technological wonder. I first met Mike when he volunteered to help teach me to use our churches new computer. We enjoyed long hours of training that invariably ended in our discussion of the Lord and other religious topics. Mike was very intelligent and had a deep hunger for the word of God. He was a true friend and will be greatly missed.
