Rickey Wayne Huckabay died from complications from a serious injury on September 16th, 2014. Rickey was born on April 5th, 1952 to Vernon Glen “Glen” Huckabay and Mary Magdalene “Mag” Evans Huckabay. He was the youngest of 5 children. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Jo Vagher Huckabay of the family home, son and daughter-in-law, Lance R. & Jennifer Huckabay, grandchildren Lily Mackenzie and Draven Xavier Huckabay of Gainesville, TX, sister Sheila Huckabay Pomeroy of Nocona, TX, numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces.

One of the proudest moments in Rickey’s life was when son, Lance R. Huckabay was born on August 22nd, 1978. He was very proud of his son and his family. He married Rhonda Jo Vagher on May 22nd, 1998. Some of his greatest joys were trips that he and Rhonda made including camping trips with and without horses and trips to Colorado, participating in the Old West Gunfighters, and having time with his grandchildren. He loved Halloween and he and Rhonda went to some of scariest fun houses in north Texas. He retired from Lockheed Martin in Ft. Worth in August 3, 2009. He was an active member in the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 776.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Huckabay; mother, Mag Huckabay; brother Vernon Huckabay; sister Glenda Huckabay Carlton; and brother Don Huckabay.
