DiSanti, Nicholas


Nicholas DiSanti joined our Lord in eternal life on Friday, September 19, 2014.

He was born to the late John DiSanti and Helen DiSanti nee Parente on December 29, 1927 in Manhattan New York. His parents raised him and his sister in Brooklyn. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and then joined the Air force Signal Corp for four years during World War II, where he served in Okinawa. Nicholas attended Brooklyn Polytech Institute where he graduated with both a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked in many different states throughout the U.S. as a project engineer. Nicholas designed complex satellite and ‘under sea’ telecommunication systems. He was responsible for many patents. He had a passion for science and engineering. Nicholas worked for R.C.A. , MCI and TRT. He retired in December 1993. He married his wife, MaryAnn DiSanti on October 29, 1961. They shared 51 years of marriage and they raised their two sons On Wallaston Court in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn New York and then moved to Staten Island to raise their family in Oakwood on Guyon Ave. Nicholas and MaryAnn moved one last time to Dallas, Texas in 2005 to be closer to family.

Nicholas was a man of truth, great intellect and love for his family. He treated all with great respect and dignity. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Nicholas is survived by his son, Mark and his soul mate Sarah, his son, Neal and his wife Rhea, three grandchildren, brother-in-law Richard Desroches and nephews Stephen and John Desroches and good friend, Alberto Martinez, Trina Ngo and Benjamin Desotamayor & Anita. Deceased: wife, MaryAnn and sister, Marie Desroches.

Viewing and Rosary will be on Friday, September 26, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm  in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

Mass will be Saturday, September 27, at 11:00 am at St. Rita’s Catholic Church 12421 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75244.

Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.

A reception will follow the interment from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Nicholas enjoyed good wine, good food, family and friends.  Please join us for a wonderful Italian meal in honor of Nicholas DiSanti at Ruggeri’s, 5950 Royal Lane, Dallas, Texas 75230 214-750-0111.
