Obituary of Bookhout Sr., John "Jack" Goodloe

Born in Dallas, November 2, 1924, to Louise and George Bookhout. He married college sweetheart, Mary Lou, May 28, 1948.Ā Ā  He passed away November 27, 2014. Graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He served with the U.S. Army in the European theater during World War II. Was at the Battle of the Bulge. Retired from Dallas Power and Light after 37 years.Ā Ā Ā  Life member of the DisabledĀ  American Veterans post. President of the Greater Dallas Electricity League and Board Member of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. His survivors include his wife of 67 years and children, Peggy Sisson, Tom Bookhout and John Bookhout, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, located at 9800 Preston Road., Dallas, TexasĀ Ā  75230. Memorial services will be held, December 2, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Chapel. Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
