WILSON, MARY BOSNICH

3/27/1941 – 12/16/2014 Wilson, Mary Bosnich Mary Wilson, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away in her home in Forney, Texas on December 16, 2014. Mary was the baby and only girl of 4 children, born in Dallas and descended from the well known Lagow family of Texas. She was a proud 5th generation Texan, and attended Bryan Adams High School and Southern Methodist University.  In 1961, at age 20, she began her long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was quickly promoted to management. Mary was known for her driving and tireless work ethic, her fairness to others, and her coolness and stability in stressful situations, often described by other Bell employees as “the best manager I’ve ever worked with.” Mary had 2 children, Victor Wayne Bosnich and Lori Renee Bosnich Welsh, and 3 grandchildren: Bianca Raquel Tano, Roman Gabriel Tano and John Elijah Tano. She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Jack Wilson, her eldest brother Thomas Grady Millender II; sister-in-law, Elaine Millender; and her dearly beloved parents T. G. Millender Sr. and Hazel Lagow Millender. She is survived by her children, her son-in-law Eddie Welsh, her grandchildren; great-grandchild; her brothers Don Millender and Phil Millender, her sisters-in-law Pauline Millender and Martha Millender, and 13 nieces and nephews. Besides her family, Mary’s true love was gardening.  She did not hold a degree in horticulture, however her knowledge was very comprehensive, having great common sense coupled with scientific knowledge gathered from years of study under her Mother's tutelage, and later several courses at Texas A&M. At Mary’s request, there will be no memorial service.  Her wish was to be cremated, and her children will carry out this wish, with her remains being spread in an area of this country that she loved very much, the Pacific Ocean at San Francisco.  The family plans a celebration of Mary’s life, with the date to be determined early in 2015. Please send the family condolences on this website.

Mary was my first real Love & we dated 2 years or so until I joined the USAF in late 1958. I’ve searched for her for years, but lost track of her after she married.
She was a wonderful person; you were so fortunate to be with her over the years!

Mary was the sister I never had and a beloved friend for more than 50 years. She was loved and respected by many. To say she will be missed is an under-statement. I extend my condolences to the family and know she will looking down on all of us. Rest in peace.
