Obituary of
Jones, Jeff
Jeff Jones, 77, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, after a brief illness. Born April 2, 1937, in Pilot Point, Texas, he attended North Texas University and worked 33 years for The Hartford before retiring in 1992.
A long-time member of Brookhaven Country Club, Jeff was an avid golfer and won many tournaments with his golfing partner Hugh Vinson. He loved traveling and playing on golf courses across the country.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer and Dora; and sisters, Clydeane Barnett and Anne Verble.
Survivors include his wife, Melba; daughter, Sheri DeLuca and her husband, Brad of Houston; grandchildren, Madison and Alex, both of Houston; niece, Jennifer Ingram and her husband, Steve of Mesquite; and their children Kyle Ingram of Gainesville; Vivien Ingram of Lubbock; Spencer Ingram and his wife, Brianna of Lubbock; and Kent Ingram and his wife, Natalia of Plano.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 2:00 pm at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

I also worked for Jeff in the Hartford Specialty Dept.
Jeff was a great mgr. with a wry sense of humor. I will miss him. My prayers go out to Melba and your family.

My condolences to Melba and the family.
I worked with Jeff when we were both with The Hartford. I remember him fondly. He was one of my mentors and educators and i considered him a friend. Another one of the really good guys no longer with us.
