Rhodes, Burnice Edwin


Mr. Burnice E Rhodes, 92, a resident of Brookhaven Nursing Center in Carrollton TX, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 4:00 am.

A native of Durma, MS, he was the husband of 69 years to Bessie M Rhodes who survives, and the son of Limuel Marshall Rhodes and Mary Rhodes both deceased. He served in the United Sates Army from October 13, 1942 to December 15,1945. He was a retired carpenter and member of Idalou Baptist Church, Idalou TX.

Burnice Rhodes loved many things, but his greatest two loves were God, and his beautiful wife Bessie.

Survivors other than his wife include one son, Wayne Rhodes of Carrollton, five grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Paula Rhodes and Charlotte Klein, and a brother Rubel Rhodes.

Interment will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
