Gebhardt, Charles Thomas

Charles Thomas Gebhardt was a loving grandfather, father, husband and friend. Chuck lived every day to the fullest and touched many people during his 75 wonderful years with us. He was always a positive person with a happy heart.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter Anne Myers, her husband Bob and daughters Emily and Genevieve of Indianapolis, IN; son Charlie Gebhardt and his children Brandon, Kirsten and Caroleann of Clayton, CA; mother Thelma Gebhardt of Dallas, TX; sister Ellen Sturm and her husband Richard of Tonawanda, NY; and brother Ken Gebhardt of Mesa, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Gebhardt.

Chuck was born in Brooklyn, NY to Thelma and Harold Gebhardt. He grew up in Buffalo, NY and proudly served in the US Marines before attending college and pursuing a career in engineering. He was a dedicated and skilled construction manager who valued character and honesty. Throughout his over 40-year career he was proud to have lit up the lives of many by building several power plants and mentoring talented young professionals. Once retired, Chuck thoroughly enjoyed woodworking, traveling the world, and spending time with family and friends.
