Obituary of
Goodloe, Sandra Eleanor (Carpenter)
Sandra Carpenter Goodloe passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on September 9, 2015. She was born on June 12, 1936 in Charlotte, NC to George and Viola Carpenter. She graduated from Myers Park High School, attended Duke University and Emory University, and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. Over the years, Sandra enjoyed entertaining family and friends, traveling around the world with her husband, singing in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church choir, and playing the piano and organ. She worked for more than 30 years as an Interior Designer serving commercial and residential clients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She was also a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. In the 1990s, Sandra founded The Cuisinary Fine Foods, which specialized in gourmet cookies, sauces and other sweet treats. One of her products won “Best of Show” at the internationally known Fancy Food Show in New York City. Sandra is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Goodloe, her two children, Sheryl Hagen and Dr. Alan Tingley and his wife Pam, her stepsons, David and Stuart Goodloe, her three grandchildren, Laura Rudicel and her husband Justin, Molly Tingley and Miranda Tingley, her three siblings, George Falls Carpenter, Meredith Burns and her husband Gordon, and Lucy Smyre and her husband John, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in her honor to the music ministry department of HPPC. Please send the family condolences and share condolences on this website.
