Mike-I was there when you came into this world and when you left this world. You were a red haired package of unique qualities that only you could have. You could be feisty and hard headed, but you had a tender heart. You always had a work ethic that was undeniable. Even when you were elementary school, Mom would get calls from the nuns reporting your unruly behavior, but then you would be the one to stay after school and help out. You were smart and goofy. You could tell a funny story like no other, and most of them were about you. We didn't always see eye to eye on things, but it never came between us. I was your older sister and I felt I had the right to "boss you around" at times. But there were also times when people you loved broke your heart and our family was there to support you. That's what families are for. And I knew that you appreciated that. You loved getting together for family birthdays and special occasions and told me that you were disappointed that circumstances didn't allow us be together as often these past few years. There just wasn't enough of you to go around. I know some of your happiest times were being with your grandchildren, too. Mom, Stacie, Stephanie, and I are heartbroken that you left this world too soon. You were truly one of a kind.
Love Always
Diane

Mike, I have known you since I was a little boy, almost 40 years. For many years we were very close and built MANY great memories. At times we were distant as life drew us in different directions. But you were like a brother to me, always there for me in good times and bad, picked me up when I was down, always there for sound advice, and and a good friend. We shared laughs and tears throughout the years. You were family and no words can express what an impact you have on our lives in life and in your absence. I love you bro, and will miss you until we reunite on the other side. My sincerest condolences to the immediate household and the Abner family and all who will feel the void of Mike's presence in their lives.
