Johnson, Clifford George

Clifford George Johnson, “Grandpa Cliffy,” of Farmer’s Branch, Texas, passed on October 16, 2015, after 74 years full of family, friends, and experiences. His friends and family will miss his salt of the earth ways and his gentle soul very much.

Grandpa Cliffy is the son of George Edward and Marie Catherine Johnson, and was born in San Francisco, CA in 1941. He worked for American Airlines for many years in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and later lived in North Carolina and Texas. The love of the wide open spaces kept Cliff in Texas for over 20 years. Cliff found his true calling when he went back to school at the University of Texas to earn his degree as a physician’s assistant. His service and devotion was given expression through his work, and he loved every minute of it. He also loved dogs, travel, food, and fishing. However, the greatest memories with Cliff were likely made during quiet times at home, living the good life spending time with his friends and family.

Cliff leaves behind his loving wife, many grandkids, sons, a daughter, a brother, cousins, and many friends.

We loved him for his easy and generous spirit. He would tell you his greatest success in his life is the health and happiness of his family. He died knowing he was loved, and loved all the way. We miss you always and forever, Grandpa Cliffy. We will see you again someday.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10:00 to 12:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

Being one of many of Cliff's patients at Baylor Scott & White Temple, Tx., I found my care was with a true professional. Immediately you were put at ease with Cliff's demeanor. He would share his love of his family through conversation, speaking of his travels and experiences. Thank you, Cliff, for being my friend.
