  1. Sandra Adorno says:

I am sorry for your loss. We never know what tomorrow brings. We have a promise from our heavenly father that one day soon we will not have to worry about tomorrow because all the pain and suffering, yes, and death, will be no more. (Psalm 37 : 10, 11, 29) (Revelations 21 : 4)

The first and only time we met Jason was for dinner at my son Jonathan’s house. He and his mother were so fun and delightful to share dinner with. We will always carry Jason in our hearts with wonderful memories of that fist encounter. We will keep Jean and the family in our prayer’s. I know Jason is rejoicing with our maker!

  3. Gregg Woodcock says:

One day after we stopped working together I got a call from Jason and he was exuberant, “I am so excited and I knew you would be happy about this: I got saved, I got baptized and I am going to heaven!” After that we started meeting about once a week to share a meal and discuss Christianity. He was so HAPPY and so EAGER and so desperately in LOVE with his Savior and with his wife! I encouraged him in the Scriptures and he encouraged me with his zest for life and his great love for people. I am sad to say that this slipped to more like once a month and it had been several months since we met when I heard the sad news of his death. I remember the last sweet time that we shared a meal, and how fervently we prayed for Celeste and their future and how excited he still was even though “life is complicated sometimes”. The last thing that he sad to me was “I love you, brother!” and I echoed the same as we hugged goodbye. I know he is in heaven because he love Jesus and I will see him again one day in glory. If the world were full of people like Jason, we would have no problems worth discussing. He was one in a million and I am proud to call him my brother in Christ. If he could come back and say anything to you, he would tell you this: Don’t wait so long as I did! Right now, repent of all sin, trust Jesus as your Savior; read your Bible every day and do what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. When your life is done, we will catch up in Heaven!

I told this story at the Memorial yesterday but I will write it again here. I worked across the hall (almost touching distance if our doors were opened and our arms were longer) from Jason for about a decade. One day he yelled, “Dude, come check this out!” and he showed me a tool he had downloaded to help him do his job better. I immediately recognized Splunk for the “Big Deal” that it has now become. I told him that I was going to use this to and asked him if he was OK with me running with it (after all, he discovered it). “Sure thing, dude!” And so I did. Because of his sharing a good thing, I now have my own profitable business, Splunxter! The success that I am enjoying today that is putting food on my table and caring for all of my needs is a direct result of Jason. Working with Jason has changed my entire life and I am so thankful to have known him.

My husband and I met Jason in early August when we flew in for my brother, Ron Brewer’s memorial service. The few hours we were with him, we realized what a wonderful person he was. Jason worked with my brother and they seemed to connect through music. During my brothers terminal illness, Jason took time to visit him in the hospital and on occasion took his guitar to play music for him. Because of Jason, my brothers last days were calming for him. Jason also took the time to leave a letter to the family letting us know what Ron’s friendship meant to him. Something we will always cherish. We would like to let the family know our thoughts are prayers are with everyone. May the sadness you fill in the days ahead be replaced with wonderful memories. God Bless you all.

Jason was such a kindred spirit with an amazing way of connecting with anyone he met. He will always be the light on a dark day, the smile amid the pain and the spirit of joy among the sadness. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
