I met Chuck on a plane in the early 1990s. We went on one date and it wasn't ultimately a good match for either of us, but he made such an impression that, even 20+ years later, I did a search to see whatever happened to him. I was so sorry to see he had passed. Chuck was a good guy and I was glad to see that he had ultimately found happiness. God bless you, Chuck.

It was with a heavy heart I learned of Chucks passing nearly a year after it has happened. We were friends in the Santa Rosa/San Francisco days - No one made me laugh like you, your big heart and huge personality always shined. I know you are now reunited with your beloved Boston Terrier Buster on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Rest well. G.

Chuck-

You were my first love; that was 27 years ago. Our parting was unpleasant, which I always regretted. I never had a chance to tell you how influential you were in my personal growth; you helped me to accept and love me. I will always remember and cherish this gift.

For some reason, I was thinking of you during the Christmas season, did a google search of you, which led me to find out about your passing. Although many years have passed, the news was heartbreaking. God bless you.

We were kindred spirits sharing a joie da vivre more intense than most get in several lifetimes. He had a heart bigger than anyone I'd ever known and lived life direct and in the moment. I have missed him since he left CA and am happy to have many years of fond memories with him. We loved him then and still do. Go in Peace my friend, I look forward to seeing you on the other side

Oh Charlie...I am utterly heartbroken. I have a slide show of memories racing through my mind of all of the good times and fun we had as children and young adults. Of the road trips, parties and get togethers we shared. Of the quiet talks we would have on warm, summer nights and of the undaunting way you protected me, like the 'sister' I came to be to you. I will never forget you nor recover from this loss. I know you are whole again and out of pain. I know the Lord has embraced you. And I know you are once again reunited with my parents, Chris, Joanne and your own father. I will always love you and keep you in my heart, my brother. Goodbye until I join you again.

Chaz: I will never forget the joy you brought by simply showing up. You were the laughter, the smiles, the compassion – the light.
I know you are now across the whole universe. The universe is better for it. I will remember the laughter.

I am sad and shocked... words can not express how sorry I am for your loss.

I always thought that Charlie was so charismatic and funny! I would listen to him and knew he was smart and also a very wise soul. The world has lost a great man. I am thankful for all he gave me in advise and help, and friendship.

My sincere condolences to his husband, all of his family, and friends.

You will not be forgotten and will be missed .

Uncle Chuck,
Although we lived a thousand miles away and our encounters were very rare you will always be one of my favorite people in the world. You taught me to love everyone no matter who they were, how they acted, what they did, or what they looked like. Heaven has a special V.I.P section just for all those who spread the love and kindness you have, and you are on the top of the guest list. You are always in our hearts.

Ah Hui Ho, Chaz! While we lost touch years ago, I have so many fond memories of Ponce Ave shenanigans we played as kids. This life gives us many challenges and the hardest is unconditional love. May you now know that we have loved you with an everlasting love. I am unable to travel to the funeral, but know that I will be with all of you in prayer. alooooooha Charlie, till we meet again!
