Libano, Patricia Ann (Gaidys)
Patricia Ann Gaidys Libano, 74, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 19, 2015, at her home in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Patricia was fluent in Spanish, liked reading, continued to travel the globe, had fun tracking the stock market, and enjoyed annual summer vacations with her family on Lake Champlain in Vermont. In recent years, she spent time acting as a caregiver for her husband with Alzheimer’s, babysitting her new grandson, and volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of Dallas.
Her parents, William and Rachel Gaidys, preceded her in death. Patricia is survived by her husband of forty-five years Alfonso (79), her son Jose (41) and his wife Yvonne of Cumberland, Rhode Island, her son Roberto (38) and his wife Yoshiko of Frisco, Texas, her grandson Santiago (2) of Frisco, Texas, her brother Michael Gaidys and his wife Linda of Randolph, Vermont, her sister Jean Adams of Port Charlotte, Florida, her brother Dr. William Gaidys and his wife Loretta of Barre, VT, her step-daughter Maria Paz Sepulveda and her husband Angel of Miami, Florida, her brother-in-law Manuel Libano and his wife MaryAnn of Staten Island, NY, and numerous extended family members.

Soo sorry about your mom Jose. Its never easy losing a parent. It leaves a feeling of emptiness that never quite goes away. Just remember all the good times and all the memories and know that she is still with you maybe not in body but in soul.

Jose and Roberto – I’m so sorry for this unexpected loss. I wish I could be there to give you both a big hug. I sent hugs with my folks, so please be sure to collect. I’m hoping that there will be a celebration of your Mom’s exciting life this summer in VT. It was so great to see her this summer at my parents’ anniversary party – she was our “surprise guest! I’m keeping you and you families in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope I always remember the way your mother called you from the kitchen at camp. “Jose! Roberto!” I can hear her voice and it brings back happy memories of summer. It seemed there was no defying her. She was a force and the world is better for her touch on it. Much love to you two, Yvonne, Yoshiko, and Santi and to all who feel her loss so keenly.

Jose, I was so saddened to learn of the untimely loss of your mother. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time. I read this little piece written by Helen Keller and thought I’d share it with you.
