Obituary of Mason, Calvin (Cal) Ray

Calvin Ray Mason of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the age of 76. Cal is survived by his loving wife, Patsy. They shared 56 happily married years. They were married in Little Rock, AR on July 22nd, 1960.   Cal is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Melanie and her husband, Dennis Maher of Arlington, TX and his daughter Deana and her husband Marc Tardif, of Dallas, TX. His sister and brother – in – law Linda and Merle Babers and brother and sister – in- law, Ralph and Patsy Mason, of Saline, LA and brother – in- law, Jessie T. Johnson of Bossier City, LA and many nieces and nephews and loving friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Madie Mason, mother, Norvelle Williams, stepfather, X.X. Williams and sister, Carol Johnson. Cal was born in Taylor, AR on July 19th 1940. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1958 and served for 4 years. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. He began his career in the fiberglass pipe industry in 1962 at A.O. Smith Corporation, progressing from production department to customer service and inside/outside sales and finally Industrial Sales manager.  He retired from Ciba-Geigy in 2002 after 40 successful years. Inurnment, with military honors, will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 27,  2016 at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.  Dr. Dennis Maher officiating.
