Bibb, Robert Lillard

Robert Lillard Bibb  passed away suddenly at his home in Dallas, Texas. Robert, was the son of Robert V. and Willie Faye Bibb, grew up in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Waco High School in 1969. He attended McLennan County Community College & Baylor University.   He worked for Southwestern Bell Phone Company starting in March of 1978 and remained with the company during the company split and the name change to AT&T. This past March he celebrated working for AT&T for 38 years. He loved his job and was considered one of the last of the “Ole Phone Men”.   Robert loved Blues, Jazz & Celtic Music. He and Molly volunteered at the North Texas Irish Festival every year in March. He loved collecting dichroic glass & knives, creating special walking sticks, reading and his science fiction genre.  He was married to Molly Ashcraft Bibb from Waco, Texas in December of 1974. They had 3 children, 2 girls and a son.

He is survived by his wife, Molly; daughter, Cheri Bibb and grandson, Cameron Krause of Forney, Texas. daughter & son-in-law, Aimee and Anthony Lopez, granddaughter, Ridlee Lopez of Dallas; and his son, Sean Bibb of Dallas.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 am in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.  The funeral service will begin at 11:00.

Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, Texas at 2:00 pm.
