āI highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brotherās arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks.ā
Mary, Michael,Tracey and families,
I am so very sorry for your loss; Mr. Scott was such a gentle soul who had an enormous heart.
As one of the original “Colony Kids,” I have fond memories of community spaghetti dinners at The Colony’s Central Fire Department, where Mr. Scott served his community with a helping hand and huge smile; and where he eagerly accepted the role that I remember him most for…Santa!
He was totally in his element during those early TC Christmas Parades, eagerly waving from atop “The General” bringing the joy of Christmas to children and adults who had lined the streets.
Thank you Mr. Scott for not only serving your community but for leaving it’s earlier residents with so many fond memories…you will always be Santa!
Peace and Grace of our Heavenly Father be with you all.

Condolences to Mary, Michael and Tracey. I knew Wayne from the late 1970’s when he was on the volunteer fire department. Long before a paid agency, there were special, dedicated and giving citizens like Wayne who gave so much without pay to provide fire and ambulance service to residents of The Colony. Perhaps one of the most joyful remembrances was Wayne as the first Santa in the Christmas parades here in The Colony. Sitting atop the General antique fire truck, waving to the children and adults alike. Not many will remember or know that Wayne was the man who made each Christmas parade he was in a special one! Thank you for your service to The Colony Wayne. You were a gentleman of the highest order.

I met Mr. Scott, Mary and Tracey and family through his sister and my friends Mimi Scott and Barbara Hyder. When they came to town Mimi and Barbara would let me tag along to meet for lunch. Everyone was so nice and I just loved them bringing me along. I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Scotts passing. I offer my sympathy and prayers to the family during this difficult time. Sincerely Donna McClure
