Valdez, Robert Duane

Robert Duane Valdez of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the age of 45.

Duane was born on November 10, 1971 in Dallas, Texas to his parents, Benito Valdez Jr., and Rachel Antillon Valdez.

He is survived by his wife, Francis Bannister-Valdez; daughter and son-n-law, Laura and Joshua Hawkins, daughter, Lillie Wright, son, Levi Wright; grandsons, Jackson and Jett Hawkins; brother, Abraham and wife, Sara Valdez; sister, Rachel Yvonne Valdez and several nephews, nieces, great nephews, nieces, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Benito and Rachel Valdez; brother, Benito Valdez Jr.; and niece, Silvia Melody Valdez.

Duane was very talented and skilled. He loved to cook for his family and friends and had a true servants heart. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman. One of his greatest desires was to meet Jeremy Wade who hunts “monster fish”, but at least their were friends on Facebook. He completely restored the inside of the house he and Francis bought last year and just completed building his dream workshop at his home.

He will be missed more than words could ever convey.

The family will be accepting friends between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Christian Center Assembly of God, 13505 Josey Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Christian Center.

Following the service there will be a procession to Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006 where Duane will be laid to rest.

To the Bannister and the Valdez Families, our sincerest condolences on the loss of Duane. Our prayers are with each of you as you go through this difficult time. We have known the Valdezes for many many years. Duane went home too soon at a young age. We may never understand why. Please know that we are praying for continued comfort as you all go through this difficult time.
