Obituary of Gipson, Alfred James

Alfred J. Gipson (Speedy) of Carrollton, TexasĀ was born in Houston, Texas on March 27, 1964, and went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2017 at the age of 52 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Gipson of 26 years. They were married in Duncanville, Texas on August 25, 1990. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Arthur and Artrey Gipson; daughters, Latisha Kautz and Erim Adewole; son, Pete Esquibel; son-in-laws, Devin Kautz and Temi Adewole; grandchildren, Marissa, Jada, Devin, Andrew, and Xander; sister, Sandra Crawford; sister Hazel Walker and husband Rickey; brother, Marcus Gipson; brother-in-law, Tyrone Taplin; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Killings, and multiple aunts and uncles. Speedy was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, a movie buff, and loved his cat, Charlie. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2016 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Ā  A reception will follow, and details will be given at the memorial service.
