Hooker, Beverly Jane Sanders
BEVERLY JANE SANDERS HOOKER of Plano, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the age of 84.
Born February 2, 1932, Beverly was the second child born to Connelly and Lucille Sanders of Bristow and Claremore Oklahoma. She attended Will Rodgers High School and the University of Tulsa. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She married the love of her life Herbert C. Hooker on
March 9, 1954. They had 2 children, Kathy and David. She spent most of her professional career in the banking and finance field. She retired as a Vice President of new accounts for City National Bank in 1993 to pursue travel with Herb and chasing grandkids. Beverly was an expert in counted cross stitch needle work and doll making. She won several best of show awards from the State Fair of Texas for her handy work. Her spirit and sense of humor will be missed but we know because of her faith and our’s we will see her again
Beverly is proceeded in death by her parents and a brother Connelly Jr. and is survived by her husband Herbert, her daughter Kathy and husband David Burress and her son David and wife JoEllyn Hooker. Grandchildren Matt and wife Leslie Hooker, granddaughter Morgan and husband Jay Behrens; granddaughter Amanda and husband Nathan Ashton; Great grandchildren Miles Robert Hooker and Caden and Micaiah Ashton.
A special thanks to all our friends for their love and support as well as the caregivers from the V.N.A private care and V.N.A hospice for their help in such a peaceful transition for Mom to go into Jesus's arms.
A celebration of her life is planned for 11:00 am Saturday, January 7th at Christ United Methodist Church, 2807 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.

Beverly, or “Stormy,”was one of the best friends I ever had. She kept us laughing all the time…she was one of our KD sisters…she was in our wedding. Love to Herb and the family.
