Obituary of Urban, Carol Joyce

Carol Joyce Urban, 87, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2017.  Joyce was born in Crystal City on August 15, 1929. Joyce attended college at Lon Morris and Texas Christian University where she met Justin Donald Stewart.  They married and had 2 children, Justin Kent Stewart and Bryan Stephen Stewart.  Joyce spent most of her career as an administrative assistant in various businesses in the Dallas area. Joyce loved to attend estate sales and find great treasures.  She was an amazing cook and enjoyed trying new recipes and sharing them with family and friends.  But mostly she loved to rescue stray kittens in need and provide them a loving home. Joyce is survived by her sons, Kent (wife Krystal) Stewart, Bryan (wife Laura) Stewart, and Pam Queen (mother of Jason and Kristi; husband Barry); grandchildren, Jason (wife Rachael), Kristi (husband James), Samantha (husband Jay), Laura, Steven (fiancée Ashley), Matthew (wife Brooke), Cody and Wayne and great-grandchildren; Cobin, Courtney, Chyann, Sienna, Brooke, Allie, Collin, Zane, and Harvey. Joyce is preceded in death by her father Kay Bonner Urban, her mother, Carol Smith Urban, and her brother, Robert Edward Urban. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at Valwood Park Baptist Church, 2727 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
