Freda Pauline Shook (Meme), 87, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Mrs. Shook was born March 5, 1929 in Rocky Comfort, Missouri to Raymond Leo Sullivan and Glessie Othel Sullivan. Mrs. Shook was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch for over 60 years…
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Shook; son, Britt Allen Shook; grandson, Jeffrey Scott Williams; father, Raymond Leo Sullivan; mother, Glessie Othel Sullivan; and sister, Cletus Nadine Grant.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Ann Shook Morgan and husband, Mark David Morgan of Wolfe City, Texas; and Kathy Sue Shook Williams and husband, Donnie D Williams of The Colony, Texas; (4) grandchildren, Carrie Ann Morgan Hope of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Sue Morgan Pitzer and her, husband Kelley Shawn Pitzer of Sherman, Texas, Leigh Ann Williams Wissinger, and Sara Elizabeth Williams; (7) great grandchildren, Jacob Alexander Hope, Bailey Ashlyn Pitzer, Taylor Olivia Hope, Ashleigh Ray Steuben, Emma Joe Wissinger, Mia Evelynn Pitzer, Lynlee Kate Pitzer. She is also survived by her brother, Chester Lee Sullivan, his wife, Margaret Juanita Sullivan of Fayetteville, Arkansas and their extended family.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff at The Bentley Retirement Community in Dallas, Texas for the warm fellowship and care she enjoyed in the later years of her life.
Family will be receiving visitors between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Monday, February 20, 2017 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church Farmers Branch, 13017 William Dodson Pkwy, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
There will be a procession following the service to Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006 where Freda will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association or First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, 13017 Wm. Dodson Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 or your favorite charity.
